Our Rabbi

Rabbi Warren Elf MBE 

Our services are led by either Rabbi Warren Elf who officiates part-time, or by members of the congregation.

Warren is a part-time freelance Rabbi, working with Southend and District Reform Synagogue since 2001 and Liverpool Reform Synagogue since 2016.

Warren has a passion for interfaith work, community cohesion and conflict resolution with many years’ experience developing positive relations between a range of different groups and communities.

He is a founding trustee of the Faith Network for Manchester, where he lives, and is currently their Co-Chair.  He is also centrally involved in the Greater Manchester Faith and Belief Advisory Panel and the Forum for Discussion of Israel and Palestine.

Warren was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s 2019 New Year’s Honours list for his services to communities in Manchester, with special regard for interfaith and community cohesion work.
